Europe is #1
Europe took over North America's spot and is now the wealthiest region in the world. This article is in German, but trust me, that's what it says. Guess we have some things to work on...? Although I've always found Europe to be a bit richer in history and culture...now they have more money too!

Freedom Without Walls
This year has been dedicated to celebrating the fall of the Berlin wall in Germany.
"The fall of the Berlin wall 20 years ago marked the beginning of a new era in history. It was the end of the Cold War, the beginning of a fully united Europe and proof that peaceful change is possible, even in the moments when it seems most unlikely."
I think it's important to remember the events that have created the society in which we live today. While everything is still not perfect, we've definitely come very far and that deserves some recognition. Seeing as I was still fairly young when the wall fell, it's fair to say that some may not know much about it or the events surrounding the fall. Take a moment to read up on this momentous time in history and remember how far we've come!
