Happy New Year!

New York City was very busy on Monday. Ashley, Kasey, Mom, Mrs. Walton, and I all went for the day. We explored Rockefeller and Bryant Park, walked around Times Square and got our picture up on one of the billboards!

To see our 2 minutes of fame, got to www.samsungsharehope.com and type in the code, ALZWKT.

I wish everyone a safe and happy new year!
Prost das neues Jahr!

Happy Holidays

Christmas always seems to be over so fast! Then you barely have time to really enjoy all the gifts and suddenly New Year's!

I hope the holidays were enjoyable for all. This was my favorite holiday commercial. (I know, I watch too much TV...)

Here's to a safe and successful New Year!

Rest in Peace

I lost a very good friend of mine on Monday. He had just returned from Iraq and came back to many troubles. He decided to take his life and I am just shocked and upset.

I hope you can finally rest now, Chris. I miss you.

Somebody's Watching

This commercial cracks me up for some reason!

Wii Fit

Mom's early Christmas present was the Wii Fit - and while I was never big on video games, this thing is awesome. I found out just by standing on the board that my BMI was normal and that my fitness age (according to the skills test one must take) is 22! That's my real age, meaning I'm in good condition. Kasey got 35, Dad 57, and Mom is 60 something - all of them way older than their real ages.

Right now it's a fierce battle between Dad and I for 1st place at the soccerball head-butting game. Those panda heads they chuck at you really throw me off!

If you know anyone who has one, I suggest you try it. Even if you're not into "games" or "physical activities" it's really quite an experience!

Hot Chocolate and Cookies

It's official - the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad has begun its crazy winter holiday season with the North Pole Express trains. From now until Christmas, I will be at the railroad either answering phones and making reservations or serving hot chocolate and cookies to all the passengers.

While Christmas is probably one of my most favorite times of the year (next to July, my birthday) it can get pretty crazy after hearing jingle bells 8 times or eating a million leftover Famous Amos cookies.

But we're definitely a family there. I mean, how many bosses dress up in a bloody Easter bunny costume for Halloween? So while I'm dreading the 10 hours of serving hot chocolate I'll be doing tomorrow, there will still be good times and great holiday memories to be made.

It's Britney, bitch

Last night I watched Britney: For the Record and actually felt bad for Britney Spears. When I was in middle school, I really disliked her. My sister had all the CD's and I learned most of the songs because they were played so often. But my Hot Topic/Pac Sun shopping self was actually tempted to buy one of those "Spear Britney" shirts.

Now I feel like her music isn't trying to fit a mold. It just is. It's fun, crazy, dancing music and you know what? I'm actually excited for the new CD tomorrow.

Nothing for Ungood

This is my favorite blog about Germany, written by an American who spent lots of time there. It's pretty funny and I think that it really highlights (yet sarcastically exaggerates) a lot of the differences between Germany and America. Enjoy!

Half-Blood Prince

Seriously stoked for this movie!
